Founding Board Directors – US 501C3

We are looking for a small number of exceptional leaders to become Founding Directors of  The Economist Educational Foundation U.S. Fund – a rare opportunity to build a philanthropic engine from the ground up, backed by one of the world’s most trusted and widely-read brands.

This is a unique chance to shape the future of current affairs education in America at a pivotal moment in the Foundation’s growth. Having reached over one million children in 99 countries this year, we are now launching our U.S. 501(c)(3) entity to unlock the philanthropic potential of the American market. As a Founding Director, you will leverage your networks, influence and financial commitment to help us reach the next million young people, equipping them with the discernment to navigate an increasingly complex world.

  • Role type: Voluntary, uncompensated
  • Location: United States
  • Term: Three years, with the option to renew
  • Meetings: At least twice per year, online or in person
  • Closing date: Rolling (expressions of interest reviewed throughout August 2026)
